This year’s class may not have the star power of 2016 but don’t let that put you to sleep. There is some high quality talent well outside of the top 3. One interesting thing to notice is the number of smaller DTs that use quickness that are becoming more prevalent. With the evolution of the spread offenses, you’re seeing more guys in the mold of Isaac Gross. One last thing, watch Vincent Macintosh’s film. Trust me.
It’s time for the Mississippi 2017 WR rankings and this year is like no other. There is no better evidence of the shift in the philosophy of high school football in MS than when you get in to the teens and there are still D1 prospects. It’s unprecedented in this state. Your top 5 could have all been #1 in years past and your #10 has an SEC offer. You get all the way to #13 and have a basketball guy that could get D1 football offers if he wants them in my opinion. The wait is over. Dive in and discuss.
The 2017 TE class in MS doesn’t have the numbers that the 2016 class had but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get a look at this year’s crop. There is still major college football talent at TE in 2017 with an SEC commitment already in the mix.
Time to take a look at the ball carriers Mississippi has to offer in 2016. Sure everyone has heard of Cam Akers and Kylin Hill but have you taken a look at Reginald Hunter? Show me two more entertaining films than those of Isaiah Woullard and Jaley Adams. Let’s dive right in and rank these guys from the top on down.
Time to kick off 3rd & 57’s 2017 prep position rankings and I’ll start at QB. That will be followed up with each position group culminating in the state’s top 50 prospects regardless of position. MS has a solid group of QB’s this year that could easily put 4 guys in FBS on scholarship. Let’s get right to it.
It’s time to dive in and rank the top prospects for Mississippi in 2016. There is plenty of debate here and my list will surely be different than those of Scout, 247, Rivals, ESPN, Varisty Preps, and the Clarion Ledger. I went over as much film as there is publicly available and spoke with those in the recruiting and evaluation realm. All my information gathering has led to what I think to be a quality list that is as credible as any other list.
